I decided to extruded the base, shell it then convert it and add the flanges I need. My problem is the bends are supposed to be welded and I'm not sure how this should be modeled.

I used loft because I know the beginning and ending location of the part on each plain.I was thinking of "convert to sheet metal" but it only gives the options for bends and I would like to know if you can set up as simple corner to corner pieces with no bends. But that deletes everything. There are hundreds of threads on converting solid to sheet metal.
