Wall oven doesn't have a plug. It has 3 wires to connect to the junction box. The issue I have is that the wire is not long enough (about 4-6 inches short) to reach the junction box used by the old oven.
I'm not sure you want to put that black box inside a metal case. IIRC, it's got it's own case and fan, and will need a certain amount of airflow. If you really want a box, I have two suggestions. Precision: CNC machining provides high precision and tight tolerances, ideal for complex geometries. Material Versatility: Can be made using various materials, including . While you may expect a metal enclosure to significantly block RF signals to and from your radio, even plastic enclosure too close to antennas can noticeably degrade their . As a first step in designing an enclosure, you need to choose the type of metal you will use and its thickness. Protocase stocks all of the metals generally used to make .
The go-to process for making enclosures for computer parts, panel boxes, and electronics bus bars is sheet metal fabrication. Sheet metal enclosures or parts are cut from a thin, flat piece of metal, bent into shape with .
I am designing a range of electronic modules that need a strong enclosure. Preferably made of aluminum. I am not very familiar with metal work and with what is possible .
New NEMA rated boxes are fairly easy to get from a local supplier to the electrical contracting industry. This may have to be ordered depending upon the size. You can find .

While you may expect a metal enclosure to significantly block RF signals to and from your radio, even plastic enclosure too close to antennas can noticeably degrade their performance.
As a first step in designing an enclosure, you need to choose the type of metal you will use and its thickness. Protocase stocks all of the metals generally used to make enclosures, including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel (cold-rolled steel or galvanneal) and copper. On the other hand, metal enclosures are stronger and more durable. They are also better suited for harsher environments and applications that require good protection from extreme temperatures, moisture and dust. Options for manufacturing metal enclosures: CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication The go-to process for making enclosures for computer parts, panel boxes, and electronics bus bars is sheet metal fabrication. Sheet metal enclosures or parts are cut from a thin, flat piece of metal, bent into shape with a press brake or folder and, sometimes, welded.
