They had me re-install the stock radio and was charged another 0 and was told that my "junction box electronic module" needs to be replaced. They said that the problem was due to the installation of the aftermarket dvd player.. Don't trust the INPA battery and ignition indicator. Just try to read the error or get the UIF from INPA to see if it is working. You would have all sort of issues when you don't have the right cable. So, it turns out I had a bad cable. The earth wire should go directly to the accessory, no need to connect a fly-lead to the back-box, PROVIDED that at least one of the fixing lugs in the box is fixed. 1 is usually adjustable to allow levelling of the socket.
